Vermeer's Andringa inducted into second hall of fame
She became just the second business owner to receive NAWBO's Iowa Hall of Fame Legacy Award.
Andringa recently transitioned to her role as board chair after a long stint as Vermeer's president and CEO. Outside of Vermeer, she has been active on the boards of many organizations, a member of the Export-Import Bank Advisory Committee, co-chair of the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council, and chair of the National Association of Manufacturers. She currently serves as one of 18 private sector members on President Barack Obama's Export Council.
This year's NAWBO award was Andringa's second Hall of Fame honor. She was also inducted into IndustryWeek’s Manufacturing Hall of Fame in 2013.
Other awards were presented to Crème Cupcake + Dessert founder Christina Moffatt (Woman Business Owner of the Year) and TWW Consulting LLC owner T. Waldmann-Williams (Advocate of the Year).
Vermeer is an agricultural and industrial equipment maker whose products are used in over 70 countries. They are family-owned and based in Pella, Iowa.
