Global leaders, prominent economists and CEOs of global enterprises gathered to gain valuable insights into the world economy during the Doosan Global Business Forum 2015 in Edinburgh, Scotland on Friday.

Among those who attended the event were: former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown; Shri Rajiv Mehrishi, secretary of the Ministry of Finance, India; Amitabh Kant, secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India; Justin Yifu Lin, former senior vice president of the World Bank; and Gene Sperling, former director of the U.S. National Economic Council.

Brown discussed geopolitical risks during his presentation, and Sperling and Yifu Lin gave presentations about the future of worldwide economic prospects.

All of the presentations preceded a question and answer session, which included more than 50 guests comprised of leaders from the energy industry, CEOs of world-class financial groups and representatives from leading infrastructure support business companies.

“We cannot change the direction of the wind, but we can adjust the sails,” and John F. Kennedy’s famous saying 'Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction,' " Doosan Group Chairman Yongmaan Park said during his opening statement.

Park went on to emphasize his hope for the future and that the forum will serve as a way to identify what is in store for the industry.
