Groff Tractor & Equipment, Inc., said this week that it has acquired CASE Construction dealer Trico Equipment Services, LLC, which expands Groff’s territory to 11 locations in four states.

Groff’s acquisition of Trico gives it three new facilities in New Jersey -- in Vineland, Totowa and Freehold.

Groff President and CEO Mike Savastio said both companies have grown significantly by providing reliable equipment, backed by excellent service.

“Both companies can attribute their success to dedicated employees, loyal customers and support from our manufacturers,” Savastio said. “We look forward to merging the two companies successfully to assure continued growth.”

Groff has been serving the construction equipment market since 1958, when its first dealership opened in Highspire, Pennsylvania, which later moved to Mechanicsburg. Trico began operating in 1952 from a two-bay garage in Vineland. With the addition of the Trico branches, Groff now has six locations throughout central and western Pennsylvania; one in Frederick, Maryland; three in New Jersey; and a rental and service branch in Newcomerstown, Ohio.

All of the Groff Tractor locations, except the one in Ohio, will feature the full CASE CE equipment line, as well as service departments with state-of-the-art diagnostic and repair equipment, on-site service capabilities and multi-million-dollar parts inventories. The CASE Construction line includes backhoe loaders, compact track loaders, compaction equipment, crawler dozers, excavators, forklifts, motor graders, skid steer loaders, tractor loaders and wheel loaders.
