Bobcat releases new flail mower attachment
The new attachment is 40 inches wide and has 36 knives. It's designed to handle difficult land-clearing projects that other mowers might struggle with, like dense brush, roadsides, trails and riverbanks, but can also be used for mowing in less-challenging settings like parks.
The flail mower comes with new safety features to keep debris from being thrown. A new rotor brake also stops the mower within seven seconds of the mower's hyrdraulics being disengaged.
Bobcat said the mower is designed for optimum efficiency and minimal downtime. Its compact deck helps operators navigate quickly changing ground levels without losing contact with the ground, while reversible flails give operators the flexibility to mow in two directions. Rubber torsion discs and heavy duty flanges ensure that the mower is built to last.
The motor is attached to any of the company compact excavators using an X Change mounting system, pin-on mounting system, or pin-grabber quick coupler, depending on the model of the excavator.
The attachment is compatible with Bobcat E63, E80 and E85 excavators.
