Cummins wins second power contract in Iraq
The new unit will supply Hilal Al-Shimal Co. with up to 3 megawatts of power to make 500,000 brick per day. It consists of three C1400D5 open generator sets fitted with Cummins KTA50-G3 engines, operating in parallel and controlled by a PowerCommand PCC 3.3 control system. The system was delivered and installed by Modern Iraq Company for Trading Agencies, the Cummins' distributor in northern Iraq.
Cummins, which provided its first power installation in Iraq in 2014, is an international supplier of power systems with annual sales of approximately $1.2 billion.
