Metso opens service center in Sweden
The new building will house a valve service center, sales office and training facilities, the company said.
"Metso is continuously improving its service capability and scope of offering to help our customers ensure outstanding long-term process performance with high reliability and safety," Tom Adolfsson, sales and service director of flow control in Sweden, said. "The new service center in the Gothenburg area strengthens Metso's position to stage, test and service large numbers of valves to meet our customers' high-volume, fast-turnaround repair and service needs during scheduled plant shutdowns."
The Gotherburg facility adds to Metso's global reach. The company also maintains valve facilities in Brazil, China, Finland, Germany, India, South Korea, and the U.S. and sells its products through more than 40 service centers around the globe. Each center is able to service Metso valves, actuators, pumps and smart devices while also providing spare parts, diagnostics and training services.
Metso is an international company providing values and other flow control devices primarily for the oil, gas, paper and pulp industries. The company estimates its net sales for 2014 at more than $4 billion.
