MTG to unveil new DMet system for dredgers at Europort

MTG Systems will release a new dredging system featuring its DMet technology at the Europort trade fair Tuesday through Friday in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The new DMet system is meant for cutter and hopper dredgers and features full cutter protection to boost safety and production. The teeth are self-sharpening and the company's hammerless locking technology makes it easy for just one person working alone to change the teeth.

The tooth's shanks are also equipped with load-bearing surfaces in all directions, redistributing pressure that might otherwise cause teeth to break. Less frequent breakage and speedy replacement of teeth when they do break will lead not only to better performance, but more efficiency and productivity overall, MTG said.

MTG's exhibit will be located in Hall 6, Stand 6110, where the company will have a DMet unit on display for fair goers to test and interact with.

Europort is one of the world's largest international exhibitions of maritime technology and shipbuilding, with over 30,000 visitors and 1,100 exhibitions.
