Doosan launches first safety training videos for heavy equipment

Doosan said Wednesday it is introducing the company’s first safety training videos dedicated to heavy equipment operators, owners, dealers and rental companies with articulated dump trucks (ADTs), wheel excavators, crawler excavators or wheel loaders.

The videos show the proper maintenance practices and operating procedures to help users understand their machines. The videos will also help the users to be more productive as they work with heavy equipment.

Each of the videos is available in English, Spanish or French, and each session lasts for 20 minutes. All of the training videos are contained on one DVD. They can be purchased at local Doosan heavy equipment dealerships. There is an online English version available as a preview of the training videos at www.doosanequipment.com.

“The goal is to help educate owners and operators about the importance of safety and increase their knowledge of proper operation and maintenance of the products,” Doosan Director of Product Safety Shawn Warkenthien said.

The videos are not intended to replace the operation and maintenance manual that comes with each machine. These manuals are given to owners when the machines are delivered from Doosan.

The company recommends that users implement the safety manuals from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). These will help to maintain wheel loaders, off-highway dump trucks and excavators.
