Woodruff to moderate presidential debate on manufacturing

The National Association of Manufacturers, Iowa Public Television and Vermeer Corp. announced Wednesday that Judy Woodruff, co-anchor and managing editor of “The PBS NewsHour” will moderate the 2016 Presidential Candidates Forum on Manufacturing on Nov. 2 in Pella, Iowa.

The 10:30 a.m. debate will be held at the Vermeer Corp. Global Pavilion, 2110 Vermeer Road East.

During this bipartisan forum, Woodruff and manufacturers in the audience will offer presidential candidates in the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucuses an opportunity to directly address concerns, topics and policies most pertinent to manufacturers and the manufacturing economy.

Qualifying candidates will take questions from Woodruff in front of manufacturers and workers at Vermeer Corp. headquarters in Pella. Vermeer Corp. is a family-owned and operated manufacturing company that produces construction, agricultural and environmental equipment.

IPTV will broadcast the forum, continuing a tradition of political coverage that spans 10 caucus cycles and four decades.
