After approximately six months of building office space and installing conveyors and racking, the company has moved into the facility.
The new building almost triples the company’s previous square footage, amounting to an estimated 140,000 square feet. The facility sits on eight acres and has gone from eight dock doors at its last facility to 18 dock doors. This will help the company fill orders more quickly and efficiently.
This is the second time that Pacific STIHL has expanded in just five years, a circumstance attributed to STIHL’s unprecedented growth.
The expansion also demonstrates Pacific STIHL’s commitment to its local community. Several business owners and local leaders attended the event, including Eric Frost, the deputy city manager. In addition, the local Chamber of Commerce helped organize the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Larry Blamer, Pacific STIHL’s branch manager, cut the ribbon with a STIHL MSA 200 C-BQ lithium-ion-battery-powered chainsaw.
“Our last move was meant to carry us through 10 years of anticipated growth, yet we’ve outgrown it in five," Blamer said.
STIHL USA is based in Loveland, Ohio.
