Canada's Cooper Equipment Rentals has made a deal with SmartEquip Network to utilize its Enterprise application through Texada's Systematic Rental Management software, Cooper said on Wednesday.
Cooper said the agreement will allow the company, based in Toronto, Ontario, to streamline its operations and services. Utilizing the systems from both companies, the rental company will be able to make its rental fleet more efficient by eliminating errors in parts orders and other areas.
“All of us at SmartEquip would like to extend a very warm welcome to both Cooper Equipment Rentals and Texada,” Fernando Pinera, SmartEquip’s chief operating officer, said. “SmartEquip’s goal has been and always will be to connect fleet owners to their manufacturers and respective dealers, eliminate parts-ordering errors and help drive profitability.”
Through its integration with the SmartEquip system, Cooper also will have the capability to enhance connections with suppliers that are also a part of the SmartEquip network.
The company offers a large variety of equipment that is applicable for use in commercial, construction, industrial and home-improvement markets, including excavators, compact wheel loaders, and other pieces of equipment and vehicles.
"We are excited about taking this next step with SmartEquip and Texada to improve our service to customers by increasing visibility, adding speed and efficiency, and standardizing our systems and processes across an expanding network of rental locations in Ontario," Cooper Equipment Rentals President Doug Dougherty said.
