ISM report indicates June growth in manufacturing

The June report from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), released on Wednesday, said the U.S. has seen growth in the manufacturing sector for 30 consecutive months. Out of 18 industries that fall under the manufacturing sector, 11 reported June growth in activity, including wood products, non-metal minerals, food, beverages, electrical equipment and appliances, among others. Seaport industry group: Funding bill addresses freight-mobility needs

The American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) praised U.S. senators for including several seaport-industry freight-mobility priorities in legislation recently advanced by the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW). The legislation, dubbed the Developing Roadway Infrastructure for a Vibrant Economy (DRIVE) Act of 2015, is a $278 billion, six-year transportation reauthorization bill. New Holland names new vice president for North America

New Holland Construction said on Tuesday that it has promoted Bret Lieberman to vice president of North America. Lieberman has worked for CNH Industrial and New Holland for the past 25 years.
